A large Mongolian tent that measures 9 metres in diameter and sleeps 4 with 2 queen beds separated with a curtain partition. There is a huge covered deck in a sunny, peaceful spot. The Yurt is fully self-contained and has a BBQ, microwave, grill/bake oven, TV, DVD player, and stereo.
Rates: $200 NZD for 2 guests per night. Extra guests: Adult $25 NZD per night, Child $20 NZD per night.

We stayed for two nights in March. Our first time in a yurt, definitely a unique experience. The kitchen was completely outdoors, which perfectly suited the spirit of the stay. Passionfruit was literally dropping off the vines; we couldn't eat enough of them. In addition, the owners Rod and Susan left us two huge bowls of fruit, picked fresh off their property. Even the torrential rains on night two didn't dampen our enthusiasm. Great location - Hot Water Beach, Hahei Beach and Cathedral Cove are right nearby. Organic macadamia farm next door is worth a visit too. The owner gives lots of samples and stories. Would gladly stay here again.
